The dingo could be $100 in one state, and $1000 in another. If it is from South Africa, it would probably cost you around $2500

Yes he is.. but that doesn't mean he's wrong
the 388 isn't technically a Dingo btw..
a 285B was available for ~US $1250
since the 388 is very similar and uses an almost identical frame AFAIK
(say a Rattler LXT 388-17 just has a different axle mount IIRC)
I assume it's about the same pricetag +/- $200 max. mainly because of inflation

I appreciate you helping me. I knew there were nice people in this world. Thank you for asking in a proper manner and I filled out as requested. The only reason I mentioned the 388 is because the kart i was interested said dingo on the floorboard by the throttle but had an 8hp engine not a 5hp.

In said list.. there is no 388 Dingo
and since Dingo is nothing but a name Manco put on many different Models it's hard to say for sure nowadays.
anyways, good you had the modelnumber
the last digit of the model number almost always indicates the engines HP xx5 xx6 xx8 are 5, 6 and 8hp engines
the following two digits 388-17 describe the color and decalset,
sometimes evolution or addons whatever manco felt like adding or naming for that matter

Thank you for filling out your profile......after you are around awhile.....and we hope you will be.....you will understand why that is aggravating sometimes......this is a worldwide forum.....(as you may have noticed....'sid is in Germany) and questions like parts availability and prices are very much determined by location......
