Its a 71 trail 90 She's a one kick wonder starts up first kick almost every time but the wireing is complelty screwed up depending on the position of the light switch if it's in the H or L I can start moving the bike but if it's in the off position the bike will backfire and sputter and stall out but I start moving useing the H or L position once the rpms get higher I switch the switch off and I get more speed out of the gears

There are 3 wiring diagrams for the ct90 that i found depending on frame and accessories.
Btw that is one odd looking trail bike according to google.

That bike is one of my favorites.
The Honda 90 is the most sold motorcycle ever with over 87 million world wide.
You can literally ride anywhere in the world and find replacement parts. Even if the engine blows up and you can't find an original Honda motor you could still find a clone knock off that will bolt right up.
I own a 67 69 75 83 and an 84. The 75 is my favorite.

One thing I've had to do with these 40+ year old bikes is take all the bullet connectors apart and scrub them with a wire brush.
They get crusty after sitting around forever and things short out or develope high resistance .
Careful not to pull the connectors right off the wire. On my 75 I soldered each connector to the wire to prevent this from happining.

Inside the switch can get crusty too. I would take it apart and clean that as well.
