Gimme a second to take some pics. I'll show a couple projects I'm working on and one that I finished not too long ago.

I searched this section for paintball, and nothing came up. So if anyone has been hesitant to start there own thread, please feel to post up some pics and info here. I'd love to see what you all have out there!

Here's a pic of the finished Sniper. Mounted a Crossman stock and filed my own finger groves into the grip. Removed the stock rightside hopper tube, and replaced it with a CCI Phantom feedblock and 10 round tube. '98 gripframe modded to use a roller bearing 2K trigger plate.
The current rendition has a different 12g changer; converted to hardline and a drop out. It's currently missing the pump handle as I try to fab up another project. The pump action is so light and smooth, it can be pumped 1 handed from the grip frame.

This one is going to be my money pit/wall hanger. I had a machinist friend make me a pump handle out of a beautifully figured piece of Amboyna Burl. I'll take a pic of the pump handle; but it's hazed over and dry. I need to get some finish on it to really make the color and figure pop.
I have plans to have it converted to a no-show midblock design; and have it anodized an orange and black gloss acid wash.

i love paint balling

i don't have any of my own gear but go when ever i can
used to play lazer tag in my early high school days

then discovered paint ball
more or less lazer tag but with actual consequences for being shot
like playing capture the flag and defending the fort in siege

the facility nere my house is just a few acres of land in the bush
its big enough that each arena has a dfferant land scape
from thick bush in forest to low bushs and srubs
to the far harder open feilds

the owners have scattered junk every where like old cars, busses and alot of those giant cable drums

they also built a huge wooden fort that has a sort of paint mortar cross shot gun

I've tried to get a couple outlaw games together; found a coulple guys interested with private fields. There's two facilities here in Louisville. Unfortunately, the one with the woodsball field is staffed with douchebags. The other field has nothing but layed back guys running the place; but it's strictly airball/speedball.

I need to get out and actually play more. It's exhilarating; and the paint doesn't hurt nearly as bad as one might expect.

Good to see that someone else enjoys the game. :)

The only thing I've ever had to do with paintball was custom machine a cartridge adapter to allow some one to go from the tiny throw away CO2 cartridges to some thing bigger. Can't remember all the details anymore (~ 15 years ago) but the guy wanted 5 working parts; I machined 7, and was :censored: glad that I made 5 good ones.....

For the record; if you are trying to fabricate/ machine parts to work with high pressure compressed gas used in small things, it gets ugly: the customer was happy as :censored: that the ones that were right worked; he was seriously unhappy as :censored: when I told him I wouldn't mass produce them for the pittance that the boss quoted for the first 5. He couldn't seem to grasp the fact that I lost my :censored: with the boss on that job; so why did he think I would do it on my own at home for that price, or even less? The # of people I've met along the way that seem to think I'm just supposed to work for free so they can make mega $'s is just plain insulting....

Sorry about the thread jack; if you're making a lot of your own parts, then you know what I'm talking about.....

WOW!!! I'm guessing that that's a really premo rig; it's just (for me) a little out there. The fact that all y'all's compressed gas powered toy's need to be functionally a lot more "tight" gas wise than a standard firearm just adds to the price.

Don't get me wrong; if taking out your aggressions using one of these is your cup of tea, then you've found an awesome safety valve. It just suprizes me because the most I've ever paid for a rifle or shot gun was about half that....

Its actually mid price gear...some guns and setups are 1k+....I usually play every two weeks or so....was playing weekly but I'm flying a lot more now so I go when time permits...the accuracy on my marker is really great u can have half of ur foot sticking out or an elbow sticking out side of a bunker 40 yards away and ill be able hit u with no problem. :)

To be honest, the pressures most current guns run under are very low compared to those that were meant to run off of unregulated co2. We're talking 400psi on the high side, with some model electros getting into the 150psi range. Some airsmiths have found ways to go even lower.

I definitely hear you on the freebie stuff. The paintball site I frequent is full of machinists; some even do airsmithing exclusively. There is a firm grasp on pricing there. I'm sure that they get their fare share of PM's wanting wine for beer; but that's no going to fly out in the open forums, everyone knows better.

I figure the vast majority see the goods in things, and totaly ignore the service. Some things just aren't going to change, no mater how global the scale. Too much for you? Find another guy, or find another hobby.

That DP5 is good looking, edgeblade. I've got a couple electros here; an Ion or two and a couple Minis. I have a hard time wanting to play with the electros, because of the game that typically calls for its usage. I CANNOT play speedball a lick. Kids jumping around like spidermonkeys, calling out lanes and positions; it's all very WTF?!? to me.

I have a GOG eNMEy I've played with a couple times. It's as fast as I'll ever need to shoot. Pretty doggone consistant out the box, too. I love that marker!

Btw, the new DYE DM14 just dropped. People are already finding DM12s for dirt cheap. :D

Lmao @ spidermonkeys.....yeah I'm not a big fan of speedball but I enjoy field ball a lot more games usually last a lot longer and I get more ppl out lol.
I may have to start looking for a dye 12 as a back up marker if the price is right :)

If I can get off my buns, I'll snap a pic of that pump handle, and some of the other projects I'm working on. I've got this awesome halfblock mini's pump I'm working on ATM, it's soo sexy!

Here some of those pics.

Pardon the dinosaur, it doesn't bite. Here are two Spyder 68's. The gold one is a classic I was restoring, then all hell broke loose in my head when I realized I could fit a BT Rip Clip hopper on it if I mounted an Empire Trracer picatinny rail on top of it. I need to deburr some slag inside the top bore from when I tapped the threads to fit the rail. The black one is a friend's marker that needs some fresh o-rings.
Below the Spyders are two pistols. One Tiberius T8.1 and a BT SA17. The Tib will be a back up marker for scenarios when I'm using my "sniper" rifle. Pics of the sniper in a minute.

Here's s pic of that Amboyna Burl pump handle. The figure on this thing is rediculous!

Another pump. A Trilogy that I had fitted with CCM lower internals and a nice CCM 45 frame...

...that was taken off to be put on this bad boy! 2K right feed half block mini'd pump. This thing weighs nothing. The mill work and half block pieces were done by a friend that does amazing work. This one is gonna be killer!

Last, here is that sniper I was talking about. Magfed Spyder Hammer 7. I plan to only use First Strike rounds with this. For those that don't know; First Strikes are like pellet shells, but for paintball. They have a finned rear section that allows them to spin; making 150 yard shots with accuracy a reality. This one is fitted with a Hammer reverse spiral rifled barrel to help pre-spin the FS round for extra distance and accuracy. The pump handle was cut down and fitted with a short picatinny rail to mount a Magpul AFG grip.
Nelson based pumps are notorious for being high pressure markers (stock, this one runs around 900psi @ 300 fps), so internal mods were made to fit high volume, low pressure internals from another marker. After modding, I'm now around 650 psi @ 300fps with ordinary rounds. I've got to send this off for one more modification; but I'm shooting for 450-509psi @ 300fps with the First Strike rounds. The chromed regulator on the back will receive a black bike grip cover when the modding is done.

From the grip down:
I filled the hollow grip frame with Amazing acrylic resin , and then poured another batch of resin while the frame was sitting in a mold to form the palm rest.
Below that, I mounted a JCS folding stock, removed the butt, and mounted a short picatinny rail in the butt's place. This allowed me to use an offset 1" scope mount to mount a modified duckbill asa in preparation for using the 13/3K bottle as the stock.

I wanted to be able to fold this up and place in a scabbard when sniping no longer is useful during the game. At which point I would begin using the Tiberius pistol as my close combat marker.

I'll have to dig it out; but I have a neat bull pup Ion I was working on, fitting the marker into an airsoft AUG2. Pics if that later.
