Picked up another beauty....curious as to which brand it may be.....also it has a big 6" drum brake that I really would like to keep.... but I checked the kart sites and Ebay but see nothing over 4 inch pads

If I didn't know better I'd say that was my daughters old kart from about 22 years ago when we lived in Kingsland on Lake LBJ. Let me see if I can find some old photographs of it.

because this drum has no pads.. it has a band ;)

6" drum brake bands are easy to find say here:
https://www.gokartsupply.com/brakes.htm

the kart is a Manco 415'ish (which one exactly isn't too important any longer really)
so just any generic 415 manual for reference:
https://americanlandmaster.com/pdfs/gokarts-minibikes/model-415/415_operatorsmanual_415311.pdf

Well I guess I meant brakeshoe ???? So are you telling me they run metal bands without lining...or I worded it wrong ?

Anyway thanks for the info....the only products I was finding was 4"

and again shoe would be incorrect!
it's a belt (of course WITH lining... )
but it's neither a shoe nor a pad nor a puck.. it's a belt
