Anyone have an 8Hp briggs carb?

Anyone? I need the up draft carb. Its the one with the elbow on it. Mine is shot, The Long Jet is stripped and so are the threads in the bottom of the carb, its not coming out. So i need a new one , thanks

Go to a local lawnmower shop that deals in these carbs, give him the engine model, series, family, etc. Dont say its for a kart, its on a pressure washer or something but you really like the design of the one you bring in to show them. Should be 80+ dollars.

None of my locals have a used one and a new one is 135 out the door which is out of the question

Let me check before I say. I have a few engines in my barn and I believe that particular one has a hole in the block. I can let you know this weekend.

If you are patient and good at tuning you can always install a 25mm motorcycle carb. I did on this 8hp but I had to work at changing main jets.

The original carb was junk and missing parts, it's long gone. I did the carb swap several years ago.

I saw it, but that wont do any good coming in at $80 currently. I can buy a brand new one for $140. Im in a pickle

I got the 8hp briggs out, but theres no carb on it. I'll have to look harder but the fact that it is not on the motor means I really have no idea where it's at. I know I didn't get rid of it.
