Anyone Drag racing the EV’s? They are getting ridiculous. Draggy times?

Built about 6 now and every time they get faster and faster. Latest is this tiny kids pocket mod razor scooter.
Has an average QS212 5kw 10” hub motor.
Use LIPO RC batteries for super high amp draw and tiny packaging. This one is 117v at 400 amps.
A 961000 Fardriver controller to dial in the power progressively.

Thats about it!

I’m 220’bs and 6’4 so far from the ideal jockey on a mini bike.

On a pretty poor surface this things going a 3.4 sec 0-60 and a 7.5 sec 1/8th mile at 87mph!

Using a Draggy performance meter for accurate data recording.

I really didn’t know they were doing this but it stands to reason. How long can you go 87mph?

Got any videos that are not first person POV?

Def. can't build 4 Karts that perform anywhere similar. I'd bet good money you couldn't build 1 that'd go 7.50 1/8th mile for less $. With a 220lb rider.

That 10" hub was $550 shipped. So cheaper than any gas 7.50 1/8th motor I'm aware of. The battery is always where the money is! But I'd argue that it wouldn't be any cheaper to build a 7.50 gas setup. And this one is timid as a kitten and can double as a pit bike. where as a 7.50 gas setup is a race only kinda deal and not friendly at all to "cruise" on.

Don't have ano other videos as I'm the only one filming, lol. Have a few pictures.

Basically was a $100 kids bike new in box from market place.

I think you missed the point. Probably cuz of my misleading comment.
What that was ment to say is:
For the most part we are a bunch of cheap fu@@s. We tend to scrounge, fix, repurpose, recycle, re use, anything but buy new. Buy new only whenn all other options have been exhausted.
For that reason the motor you use is expensive from our viewpoint.
Your stuff is cool and will outperform most of our junk, no argument there.
I'm cheap. The rich guys like Denny have no problem droppin big bux on his nex cool ride.
The rest of (ok its just me) do it on the cheap.
No disrespect intended.

I like engines. The noise, the pulse, the concept of something that runs by breathing air and fuel and creating fire... all that stuff. But for the sheer sake of ridiculous, instant power and speed, I have to admit that electric is damn impressive.
Yeah it is I love the feel of 4stroke...
That sounds werid

I'm no stranger to cheap! Don't get me wrong, I'm a BIG gas motor fan as well. Been drag racing over 20 years. Currently run a 26' twin turbo Model T.

And started out with gas nitrous mini bikes and harbor freight engines like most. Just like to discuss the hobby. I'll say 90% of the people I let ride my big power EV bikes end up wanting one. Instant power and no noise is an odd feeling that i'd highly reccommend everyone trys out. BEcause you like gas motors doesn't mean you can't like EV too. Hell I drive a Tesla daily now they are so damn good, and believe me I catch hell for it from all my racer buds. lol

The EV stuff is just fun to play with on the side at the strip as pit bikes. Blue one got a little out of had admittidly. I built several "cheap" EV to start with. $80 motor and drill batteries will actaully take out most gas pit bikes for VERY little money. Homedepot conduit drag bars and all...

Looking at a 2.7 0-30 or so and top around 45-50. Talking $50 or less kids frames picked up on FB market place. Doesnn't get much cheaper! Even ran them at the track and took out full sized gas scooters.

Or can go as bare bones as you want. This setup is 34lbs and can be tossed in almost any trunk. (or back seat) Great little show cruiser that wheelies on command and will do over 40 with 200lb rider. Very cheap to build. This was a $30 bright pink little girls scooter. :D

What ever makes you happy.

Oh it makes him happy, no doubt. Nothing can beat the electric motor nowadays, especially brushless although I’d love to see a top fuel dragster against a comparable E-dragster at the drag strip.

Or what’s the guy with the rocket kart? Turbonique thing?
