I assume the brand is Stellar, based on the name imprinted into to back rest. unfortuantely, its really hard to google search it because there is a band named "Stellar Gokart" :mad2:
I belongs to my dad, and as far as i know he's had it since he was younger than me, so its definitely and older cart. any info on it would be nice.
now for the best part- pics

This may be a Quincy kart... thats the best I can say. It is not a large name brand production kart.

Like as in Quincy Mass?

Dang if it is.... used to live there... and aint no where that puppy could stretch its legs.... appart from in the train yards, if you were to go up to Braintree, or perhaps the Cape Cod sand dunes....

I thinks it's very cool. I'd snag it in a heartbeat. Wish I could stumble on finds like this (try as I may).

Looks like an old racing kart from the late 50s. No idea what it is, not sure if the protection around the driver is origonal or not. If you realy want to know what it is try vintagekarts.com the guys on there might know. Anyhow it is a cool looking kart.

Regards Justin

Def. late 50's, early 60's. One of the earlier years in karting. It has a dead axle and scrub brakes, two things that were improved rather early in karting history. Steering wheel seems to be from a Sears/Monty Ward kart. Is it straight? Any crash damage? Those front axletubes are pretty long with no support. I imagine if you just kiss a curb those would bend.

Not a ton of value in these karts. Convert to live axle and go to better brakes and you could have a fun vintage kart!

I have checked on this and found that Stellar used to make mini bikes as well. That cart was made from 1967-1973. thats as long as stellar was in business. I have a chance to grab one of these for $50. Im considering it.
