I just got a stanley thermos from walmart a couple weeks ago to keep my coffee for school. I've already dropped it off my house on to concrete, it rolled down a steep clay cliff for 10 feet into our pond and had to get my jon boat to chase after it. i was just wondering if anybody else has one of these bad boys and if y'all like them.

Those things are just terrible....and very dangerous....for your own safety....I will PM you my address so it can be safely disposed of.....:lolgoku:

Seriously, I had one of those bad boys for something like 30+ years....I just threw it away a few months ago....(the 2 piece spout /cap was cracked on on side....and the handle had rusted away and seperated from the thermos)...and now.....I am kicking myself in the rear for getting rid of it....I won't mind once it's replaced...(with a new Stanley) .....but right now....I miss it...but I wouldn't spend $3 on anything else.....(But I would $20-$30 for a steel Stanley...if I had it!)

Then again....does Stanley make anything that isn't quality?

But.....just to be safe.....I think you should send that one to me.....

Not trying to thread jack but this is closely related to your comment, I just sent Stanley a ratchet I've been carrying for over 15 years (came with my very first ratchet set which I still have and use!). The drive gear stripped probably 10 years ago or so and I was thinking of Craftsman's lifetime warranty. The other day while sitting at a computer the thought popped into my head- I should look into Stanley's warranty. Theirs is lifetime on hand tools but you have to send it in as opposed to walking it in to say.. a Sears. So fingers are crossed, I shipped the wrench Thursday and we'll see if they honor their lifetime warranty.

And back on topic, I know the thermos you're describing but no, I do not have one.

Then again....does Stanley make anything that isn't quality?
