Any snowmobile riders?

Me any my family might be driving to New York on sleds (we live in NE ohio).This is my most recent one that I will take. Its a 1985 Arctic Cat Panther 500cc. I got it for $200. Previous owner ran it out of oil.I bought it about 3 months ago, (Thats when the pics were). The bottom end was good, right cylinder had 130psi compression, left was 30psi. Left piston was scored, I filed the scores and piston ring grooves, my step dad honed it, and I put new std piston rings and a gasket set. Replaced all the disintegrated oil and fuel lines. Primed the oil lines, and then it had no spark. I Jumped the single kill wire going to the cdi to a toggle switch on dash then wired it to ground. The key was missing and there was a break in the wire somewhere and just wanted to ride it. Its in really nice condition, no seat tears or broken fiberglass. Its dirty on the pics I haft to clean it up.

Missed out on a running 440 Rotax Suzuki only problem light didnt work for $100.

oh yeah man. this year i got a 1997 arctic cat panther 440 long track that i got for $125 runs good but its not fast, gonna put a 500 liquid yamaha engine in it, then she'll rip. chassis is mint minus hood and seat, good suspension, decent track, plastic skis, etc.

I actually work at a snowmobile tour place as a mechanic.

Here are my two rides. '98 ZR500. and a '86 Pantera 440.

The '86 has treated me very well over the years, happy to have the newer 500 though. Thing is a rocket!
