I joined last year, but only went to the first few meetings. I didnt join this year, but we got around 20 members. They do Ford AAA, aircraft and some other stuff. I sorta wish I had joined...

Yeah I'm doing Ford AAA this year. Took the competition test today. Last year I scored #1 in the school and #17 statewide. I'm hoping to get in the top 10 this year so we can actually go to competition.

My school probably has like 100+ members, not sure. We've got Auto Tech, Masonry, Electricity, Welding, Agriculture, Cosmetology, Culinary arts, and some more I can't remember so we have a lot of students that joined.

Auto tech is what I'm in. So I wouldn't call that bad! It's better than nothing, or you know, doing hair or something else like that. lol

I would stay in the school with Auto Tech. For real.

Na. Besides the fact that all the kids at my current school are rich snobs, the way they do the class schedules is retarded. Some classes are everyday for one semester, others are every other day for a year. Ive failed a bunch of classes so it really ***** up my schedule. The other school doesnt.

Gotcha. In that case I would go to another school. Fortunately my school basically allows you to choose what classes you take. (Otherwise I would have probably dropped out by now, because academic classes here are a pain in the ***) Of course you're forced to take the ones that are required for graduation but as far as unrequired courses go, you are free to choose.

I'm a senior and I only need 2 more credits for graduation. Which basically means I have Auto Tech 4 hours per school day.

the bad part about my school though is that the majority of the student body are really bad. We're in the lowcountry of South Carolina if that gives you a hint.

but there's gotta be a better selection of schools somewhere near you man...

I absolutely hated private school. I went 5th and 6th grade, almost getting into a fight during my first week at the private school because a rich snob decided to push my buttons. I wasn't that thankful for public school until I experienced private school. It's been quite sometime since I've been to NC. Last I went was back in 2002, and that was a trip to Carowinds.

My tech college just started on it's own club this year. We're mostly just focusing on getting our name out in the school, we want to wait a while before trying to do any competing.
So far we've done some charity work (part of the requirements for a club at my CC) and are in the planning stages of a club drag car project.

Here's our facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Aims-Full-Throttle-Club/152612691453553

Also, thanks for reminding me that there was a meeting I was supposed to be at three hours ago.

I don't think it's world wide. Pretty sure most of it is state wide, though Skills USA exists in all states pretty much.
