That looks like my Polaris 295; and you're right- they're not too easy to find specs on. I've been haunting the numerous vintage snowmobile forums for info. I'm guessing they put out in the neighborhood of 30 hp and on my clutch, it says max rpm is 7500. One thing I have found in common about the motor is that everyone agrees that they are almost bullet-proof. If I were you, I'd just give the carbs a good cleaning (there are rebuild kits for pretty cheap in you have to go that route). Also- hopefully you have the other parts from the sled it came from also (clutches, etc.) If not- all is not lost- just a bit more expensive. See that shroud above the exhaust manifold? That HAS to be in place, or you will have overheating.

Without welding, the sled engine would be easier to attack since you can make some bolt on brackets easier. Overall the bike engine will be better in my opinion, Dont get me wrong, i love sled engines but its going to cost a decent amount for new carbs, and bike engines are just as fun as sled engines (shifting is sick).

What size carbs are you looking for? i got 3 42mm (i think, there somewhere around there) that i'd be willing to sell.

How Much?? Send Pics
The Carbs I Have Have The Were Cast With The Mounting Flange On It Already So It Are They The Same Set Up Mukunis Ill Post More Pics Tonight When I Get Home

The Kart That I Have Had The 300 On It All Ready So Its As Simple As Bolting Some Carbs On And Firing IT UP... Hopfully
AND PLUS THE WHOLE DRIVE CHAIN SET UP AND GETTING SOME ONE TO WELD EVERY THING UP WOULD END UP COSTING ALOT MORE THEN A SET OF CARBS

just looked at the pictures of your engine and mine would not work at all, they are very different from yours. They mount differently, and those look a bit smaller.

Yeah Ive Found A Ton Of Mukunis For Cheap But Dont Think Any Will Really Work Without Fabing Some Flanges For Them And Praying They Seal
I Cant Really Rebuild Cuz Some One Drilled Out The Jets And One Float Bowl Is Cracked
