Wouldn't a rear facing left spindle become a front facing right spindle and still be on the same angular plane with the center of the back axle? I never took anything beyond algebra in high school and even that was years ago so I am a bit under educated.

No, because it would be on the opposite angle to what you want: rear facing point in, forward facing point out.

This comes back to elementary school geometry lol

I was about to write something about how the angle of the "spindle axle" to the tie rod connector wouldn't change when mirrored right to left but then I realized that the rear facing angle would be obtuse to be on the ackerman plane.

Anyways, I am buying a mig welder soon so maybe I can make it into a project.

As far as the derail is concerned, I imagine MKII420 won't care because his questions were answered, might as well make it a learning experience for the dumb lol :)

Correct

Cool. It's still drivable now so stick with it until you get the welder but, believe me, you will notice & appreciate the difference it will make

True, since his kart has the same problem :)
I wouldn't say dumb; inexperienced, uneducated maybe...:D

OK Fabroman. I will be notching and "Ackermaning" my spindles this weekend. I'll see if it helps out at all. Right now, this karts steering is bad. I'm fighting it all over the place. It's a Carter Hot Bodies very similar to MKII420's kart. The steering is identical. When it's done, I'll set a little bit of toe-in. That usually helps things out.

Edit: I'll take some pictures, MKII420.

Cool, let us know how it goes. How is the steering in a straight line? Are you only fighting it in corners? Start a new thread & post some before pics
