Any idea of how to do advanced photo posting with an Android based tablet???

Back in May, my Dad and his girlfriend upgraded to the IPhone 5. They then turned around and offered me my Dad's IPhone 4 for my birthday. I bit. It required a totally new phone plan though, because I hadn't changed or upgraded my old flip phone plan for over a decade.

While jumping thru the hoops for that, they offered me an introductory offer of $50 for their house brand tablet (Verizon Ellipsis 7) which I also bit on. I like it; over 4/5 the capabilities of an IPad for less than 1/7 the price. But that does lead me to my next question....

When I post photos from the tablet, they post as thumbnails just fine; what I haven't been able to figure out is how to do the more advanced form where I can insert them into the actual post like many people do. A couple of people were able to coach me through doing it on my netbook, but I haven't even turned it on in over a couple of months because the tablet is 4G equipped and has probably 3 to 4 times the resolution for the screen.

On a related note, does anyone know how to transfer photos and data between an IPhone 4 and said tablet directly? I can email myself from one to the other, but it just seems to me that there should be an easy way to set them side by side and get them to talk.....

Posting pics..
well tapatalk inlines the attachments IIRC, or you click on the small paperclip icon in the advanced post editor to inline the images.
If you happen to know the attachment ID of the pic you can simply type:
[attach]<attachid>[/attach]
to inline the image as well..

photos isn't a big deal, data is I'm afraid

There's a free app in the apple store (wifi photo transfer) that'll start a webbrowser to transfer your pics from the phone to any device with a webbrowser in the same wireless network.
Either an existing wireless LAN, or in tethering mode the one the iPhone creates.
just enter 192.168.x.x:15555 in the androids webbrowser and you have acess to all images.

data is a bit different, since the iPhone doesn't have an internal file browser of some sort.. it's springboard or App (yes, I know.. not important here )
But again, there are file browsers that do the same in a similar manner.
I have "Downloader" on my phone, that let's you download files from the internet (zip files, images, videos, audio, text documents etc.pp.) and has the option to start wifi access just like wifi photo,
it's not free though (IDK what the free version offers TBH)

but there are literally dozens of similar apps, that's just the ones I stick to (I'm happy with how they work, so why change? )

Or you get a cloud service and synchronise bth devices with that... but that requires a massive dataplan I assume

hehe I'm pretty sure Pat was not referring to the image-code..

he's one of those who actually likes thumbnails more than full size images (data rates, speed on mobile devices etc.)

Also inlining an image isn't helping to teach how it's done

I haven't got time to try your suggestions for getting the phone and tablet to talk yet, but your suggestions on photo posting gave me enough info to back track: and lo and behold, I think I got it!!!!

Look under using tools and welding.....
