Hello everyone, so I built out and then sold an old Manco Intruder 2, then moved on to my next project, an old racing kart.
Bought it off FB market with no info, just listed as 2010 kart, which I figured it wasn't that new. But now I'm feeling like it's probably 30 years old. I've attached a picture of the frame to help. The frame rail OD is 1-1/8".
My biggest pain point is the spindles. The right spindle's lower bearing and spindle wall was eaten through and the king pin bolt bent. But I cannot find replacements that match this size. Forgive my lack of nomenclature knowledge, but the shaft is about 4.5" long and 5/8" diameter, and the piece where it connects to the frame with the kingpin bolt is about 1.5 inches tall. But the thing that is baffling me, the kingpin bolt is about 9.3mm thick, and the bearing in the spindle is about 9.4 mm.
The closest match I could find was the bintelli xk spindle, but it is 8mm hole, and doesn't list the KPI, which mine looks to be 15 degrees.
So if I can't find any parts for this I think I'm just going to scrap their frame and consider it a loss, because the worst part is that the frame is slightly bent... Ugh.
