any good deals for 6-10hp engines?

Robin Subaru is an excellent engine, Wise choice!
I have the 6hp (I think it might be a wee bit above 6hp...), but if you'er interested there are a few other options.
1. 7hp Subaru, a little expensive, but more powerful than the 6hp, and it has a 3/4" shaft so you can get an inexpensive clutch.

2. 9hp Subaru, cheaper than the 7hp, much more powerful, but it has 1" shaft, so buying a clutch can get much more expensive than the other two engines.

Also few other questions, first for when I get the new engine. As far as gasoline and oil, would it be best to just run regular through and conventional oil or premium and synthetic?
I will be swapping this motor and pulling the old out out of a go kart, the motor still runs fine and I was curious what the best method of long term storage would be?

Regular gasoline will be fine. You should use whichever oil is recommended for your climate in the engines owners manual. I use Mobile1 10w 30, and regular fuel.
Engine storage is pretty simple, here's a few things that can be done:
-fuel stabilizer.
-shutting off fuel valve & draining carburetor.
-draining fuel tank, carb, and fuel lines.
-I'm not very familiar with the process, but I have heard of people "fogging" the engine, you'll have to research that if your interested.
As i mentioned before, be sure to look into the cost of clutches BEFORE spending any money on a new engine.
