***bighead***Yes, I now realize the bikes are on Craigs list, although I have not been on Craig's list for many years now...and I did send an email to the person selling that mini bike for $65...he also has an invitation for an offer....I will check out that mini bike today if I can get a response....you know, I completely forgot about Craig's list....things have been kind of hectic around here, and thanks for the reminder!

PS, I have a home in the Philippines. I been to Japan but only at the airports. I would love to have a day layover from the Narita airport.

SushiDog, we're more than happy to help! Wait'll you get the bill!!!! Just kidding. Feel free to make use of the "Thanks" button, though...

Seriously, I enjoy helping any way I can, and it's very satisfying to see genuine gratitude! Minibikes aren't really my thing, I haven't built one (yet) but I've been contemplating things. I therefore know NOTHING about the Asuza stuff, but I will still pitch in my two cents on the stuff I do know. Cheers- Chris

***Everyone here***YES! Where are MY manners??? Therefore, everyone gets a formal Thank You!- CLICK (smile) I sent an email to the fellow on Craig's List, and got one reply asking if I read the details, and I replied "yes", and have not heard from that person since...Oh, well....(football games?)
***Chris***There must be something in the Ontario, Canada water, because I have a very good friend whom I met on a Treasure website who is from your neck of the woods, and is the greatest guy to help people out like yourself! I must get to Ontario one day and meet all of the wonderful people there!!!
***bighead***I have lived in your beautiful country for awhile too, and the people there are super great! Wow! I guess we have the beginning of the United Nations for Man Toys now! Ha, ha!
***One thing I am going to do is to check the Craig's list often from now on....that was shame on me for not doing so....anyway, I am going to continue to post, and you guys do the same....this little saga isn't over yet! (smile)

Another tip about CL. when searching for Mini Bikes. Make sure you search both Mini Bike and Minibike. You will get different hits for people use both words.

Okay bighead....thanks for the tip....I was just about ready to get over to CL now....
***And yes! I am always very grateful to the people who take the time, effort and willingness to help out others....especially us "others" who are totally ignorant of this sport at the moment (me), and just do it for the pure joy of helping....isn't what these Forum's are all about? (Big Smile)....
I LQQK forward to you guys always being for me when I need some help, and some day, I hope I can contribute something to you guys as well....I sincerely mean this!
Everyone feel free to continue to post here....post among yourselves, and just have a good time doing so....
***I will continue to post whatever progress I make....either with a purchase from CL, or getting my Azusa Kit....or both! Ha, ha! And thanks for the very kind and warm words from everyone...

Hey, it's all good, man! Don't worry, the experiences you're getting now, will ultimately be experience you can pass on later.

I sort of consider it a barter system, I pass on what I do know, and even what I suppose, in exchange for knowledge and ideas from others that I don't posess. In another forum area, I just gained some carb knowledge- a weaker subject for me...

Anyhow, definitely keep us informed on your purchases and progress.

i would recommend the kit. i bought the one with 8in rims from gokartgalaxy.com it cost 300 plus shipping it was fun putting it together. my brother and i put it together we put a blue 6.5 clone on it that ive used on many other karts. it has plenty of power and ive never had an issue with the sproket hitting the ground. i am 220 pounds and it rips the front wheel off the ground easy. my nephew and i ride our mini bikes out in the woods and on the track ive made and it always is a good time spending time with him

ive also purchased off of craigslist as well and i did pretty good with that as well. it came with a two horse briggs and i put a 5hp blue clone on it and it has put me on my butt a few times. so if you like something to build with your grandson you can get the kit and put it together and/or buy one from some one else to have one to ride with your grandson

Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate you taking the time and effort chiming in with some great stuff....with this economy, I guess things are really competitive, perhaps when it comes to "Big Boy Toy's"....$430 for a Kit sounds like a winner.....SushiDog
