Went to a garage sale with six year old grandson. They had a go cart for sale that is four flat tires, a frame and a Chinese engine. Grandson thinks I can fix anything. I will post a picture and go from there. Hello everyone. Dave

I know Coleman like to use Chinese "Hisun" 196cc engines on a lot of their bigger things (CT200U, and karts) and it's not an engine to be underestimated, especially after you get rid of the Hilliard clutch and send power to the ground through a Comet 30 series clone.

They've got plenty of grunt for a young'n but can also drag around a 200lb adult fairly well. The bonus being pretty much all Predator212, Honda GX160 and GX 200 hop up parts fit.

Welcome aboard Gramps. Lots of us here is one (Gramps). So it sounds like you're not terribly confident in your mechanical aptitude to fix this thing. Really, you have come to the right place. Can you change a flat tire on your car? Can you hang a picture on a wall? If you answered yes to these questions, then you can rebuild your grandsons go kart. Lots of knowledge on this forum, and with decent pictures and a explanation of what the problem is, we can get you through anything. Don't worry about what you paid for it. To your grandson it will be priceless and you will be the smartest person in the world. It's worth quite a bit when it's all said and done.
