Alright, so i dont know why i started this project, but i was very bored today. I Mounted a little Ryan brand weed whacker engine on the back of a little girls bike...Its still not done..im having some issues with the chain coming off. I have it direct drive to the wheel via some custom sprockets..so i can start pedaling and turn over the engine then zoom away. I will get some pics up tomorrow. I have no clue how well this will work or if it will at all...Its a very small engine (20cc?).. It very well may be the most ghetto death machine ive ever created...

Motorized bikes ftw!

We're going to need to start a motorized bike club. I'm currently working on the clutch for my chainsaw chainsaw bike!

Well i switched it over to friction drive, the chain direct drive was a major failure. I just mounted a bolt on the crankshaft then welded/glued on a skateboard wheel. Works fairly well. Now i just gotta get it running lol.

Needs a clutch. Im assuming your gonna have the engine pivot away form the wheel. Use the front brake lever for the clutch hookup, and some sort of lock for normal riding if it runs out of fuel.

No clutch, No pivot, just welded on solid. This was just a little experiment, im not going to go all out and make it nice. And i mounted on a gas tank, got it all rigged up, but the wheel was slipping from too much compression so it wasnt turning over as fast as it was before..and now the sb wheel is all ground down in 1 spot, the friction drive dont work to well if ya dont do it right lol..not sure what im going to do from here..

OK somehow i got it to work and i got it up to probably 15 but it was still climbing in speed. I just need to reinforce the motor mounts more and it should be good to go hahaha i may take a vid later

The rear wheel kinda crapped out on me (bearings) but i got it somewhat fixed, now im going to rebuild it and do it right with a pivot, quality engine mount, and i already made a good friction thing for the engine, welded on a big bolt to the crankshaft and then a bike peg. Im planning on driving it around the town so im going to make it somewhat reliable. And in MN 50cc or less on a bike/ scooter or whatever you can ride on the shoulder and sidewalks legally..

Well thats good for you! I for one wouldn't waste 200$ on a junk Jap brand 50cc to put on a bike....

Im sure russ would like this....THE LAWNBOY BIKE 9000

The engine has too much dang compression compared to the weedeater so the wheel/ crank slips. Idk what to do...Its about a 4 hp...It should fly....Its all bolted together...i cant find my copper tips for my welder so this is what i did from boredom...

Yeah, i just gotta figure out how i'm gunna make it start. I almost need a compression release, but i dont want to put that much work into it. And the top end is all one piece down the the crank so i cant add extra gaskets for less compression. I also hope that old tillotson i put on works....
