Why not a mini drag racer?

The frame designs of today's drag racers are simple enough that one of us could make a miniature version with some tools and square tubing.

Maybe a 15"-20" tire, with thin bicycle tires up front, and the engine in or nearly in the middle. I think I even vertical shaft engines would work for this. (vert. shaft --> t-shaped differential --> wheels)

It's out of my budget, but I was just thinking that some of ya'll may keep this in mind for a rainy day or lack of ideas.

We could race, and brag about our 1/8 and 60ft times :-D

I was at a IHRA drag race last year, we know a guy who's daughter races mini-dragsters. Wow, these people are serious! It's basically a 5-8 HP briggs, but everything is billet aluminum, fancy read outs, ultra-light frames... Serious stuff. They use snowmobile torque convertors. Cool stuff.

people allready bulid these and they sre expensive to build as he said above alot of billet aluminum parts and the frame is usually an aluminum steel mix but the only down side is that they arent designed to get good handling or even turning so they're only good for a dragstrip really

ya that is fast but theyre motors arent stock either so if someone wanted to get performance like that on a go kart they could theoretically by upgrading the stock motors on thier go kart so really you could have a fast go kart that can actually turn compared to the mini dragster which cant really
