I was so excited about the DuraForce, I totally forgot that my buddy (notice how he went from "Coworker" to "buddy" :D), also gave me this nifty little gizmo.

Craftsman 5hp Chipper/Yard Vacuum. Tec engine, I assume (Craftsman). Kinda cool- chips branches up to 1 1/2", vaccuums, mulches, bags and blows. Fired up right away with fresh fuel.

Well- kinda. My GX was. This takes a couple.

Kendel- I dunno- I've never seen one before either. All I know is that I've had a horseshoe up my hoop lately... But I'm not complaining! I'm telling you- I tried for years to get a Lawn Boy for a decent price. No luck at all. Then this guy just gives me TWO!!!

Been trying to get a 5hp Briggs as well. Still no luck.

Not looking in the right places or are not asking the right people.
Everyone knows that I am an engine guy, and as a result, I get their "junk".
Cruise the neighborhood...send e-mail...post signs...talk to friends.
My garage is filled with engines and parts that I will never get to.
I still have the original B&S model 5s from a lawnmower that my father mail ordered in 1957. It powered my first wood gokart .

well we have alot of homeless here, so if you go out at say 9pm thinking you can get some decent stuff its gone, but if you go at 8 nobodys even got thier trash out, i notice there was a scraper who lived a few streets down im going to talk to him tommmarow see if i can make some dael with this guy to possibly give him a couple bucks for giving it to me, and russ you made a wood go kart?

Funny you say this. I had a 2 stroke LB all lined up, and was give a 5HP Briggs flatty. I also have an unknown snowblower and weed wacker coming my way. I picked up my mower today without express permission, mom called, I just said what I was doing, and she was happy, I was blindsided. She said she felt bad about that snowblower my neighbors were tossing out a while back since she is why I hesitated and missed it.

Our friend was going to Germany to see her husband and made mention of, in passing, how they weren't going to get their trash out and how they had a "dead" snowblower and weed wacker to toss. My mom, before knowing about today's mower, asked to have them and they said sure. :) If I score another Briggs Flatty, wanna trade?
