well since the new carb arrived for the ATV, I'm going to use good parts from this carb to try to rebuild the old carb from the ATV and see if that works, if not I'll just order another carb and heck, should do that anyway to have a spare in the inventory

next issue is tires, for the life of me I can not find a 3.00 x 14 anywhere, my local Chinese scooter dealer said I could use a 90/100-14 or 90/110-14 but I wanted to run that past the brain trust here before placing any orders

Your dealer is right. The 14 is the rim size and the other number if the width, the only difference is 3.00 is standard inches and 90/100 is metric. The number before the slash is the width, in millimeters, and the next number is the "aspect ratio," which is the depth of the dire, measures from the edge of rim to outside of the tire.

A 90/100-14 will be about half an inch wider, ensure that it will have enough clearance, it most likely will.

A 90/110 is a little taller than a 90/100, but it is less then a 1/4 inch difference.

Let me know if that was too confusing :lolgoku: just trying to explain a bit.

I Couldn't find the right plastics looking online.
Try emailing Baja Motorsports directly at service(at)bajamotorsports(.)net. (Remove parentheses, forums sometimes censor this information.)
Here's the parts guide page with model numbers and UPC for the plastic pieces, it list both yellow and green pieces.

They may be willing to sell directly if the still have some/ if they are available.
Good luck

I'm not a huge fan of this bike really, I dropped more $$ into it than I could've bought a ready to go bike off CL for so now I'm committed to this bike cause I don't like taking losses, also the handlebars don't follow the front wheel square. The rake is more than I like and really more than is appropriate for an off-road bike. I bought expensive tires and I regret that since I really need dual sports and these are soft - intermediate terrain. Here is what I did to get it running: new fuel lines and filter, frakencarb, new master cylinder, new tires and tubes.

That happens with some things. Total money pits. I still prefer Japanese main brands to china bikes any day, but the china bikes have their place. I usually see plenty of people with broken Chinese Motorsports stuff everyday. Used to work at a suzuki dealer in the shop and we stopped taking any of these for repair because you couldn't find most parts.
The handle bar tracking sucks, don't think you can adjust it.
How much do you think you have invested?

Loosen all the bolts for the front end and handle bars and realign. You should be able to get it pretty darn close. ;) Don't forget the clamps on the lower part of the triple tree. Good luck!

I think I'm north of $300 at this point. As for the alignment, I can have the front wheel against something then over-correct the handlebars, there is enough give and play to worry me about going high speeds.

Try getting the handlebars where they are correct then tighten all of the hardware down. $300 is getting up there, but if you will get some good use out of it, then that's not too bad. I purchased a suzuki rm85 for $300 and finally got it going, with way more in it than I expected, about $700. New tires, top end, radiator (was leaking), head gaskets twice, seat cover, and a lot of time. It's a really fast bike though.
Good luck with alignment and hopefully you can find plastics.

Is there any possibility you could convert the bike to use the crf50 style plastics? Tons of colors and great availability. Only $25 for a set. You would also need a tank and a seat. It looks like the later model dr90s did use those plastics, but I couldn't tell if how similar they are.

Older one

Newer one

They may have some different mounts but the plastics like the newer ones are easy to get.
