Hello, im the father of a kid that just recieved his first go kart. These were some of my best memories as a kid. I was wondering if this site was kid friendly, since he is only 10 years old. He wants to join this site, but i told him i had to ask around and see if there were a lot of people cussing and talking trash first. Any way he is 10 yrs old, and from GA.

The cussing is censored by asterisks and we have some very active moderators here that keep the site clean of spam and bad mouthing

IMO, This site is perfect for a kid to ask questions and learn.

Most of the members on this site are below the age of 16. Have a look at this thread. It will give you some idea of the age of members here

Personally, I think this is a really clean, child friendly site. There is loads of info to learn here. Some of the 12yr olds on this site know 10 times more than I do. You would think they are seasoned mechanics

Welcome to the forum, sir! As a 39-year-old father of two pre-teen boys, (and a moderator of this fine forum), I am pretty strict in enforcing our family-friendliness. The forum software automatically censors the worst of the no-no's, and we manually keep the rest pretty tidy. We also have a policy against "trash-talking", insofar as we do not allow personal attacks on other members. If someone is being a twit, they can expect to be told so, but there's limits to how far it can go. Enjoy the site- Chris
