mini bike
For a School project i have decided to build a mini bike. Progress is slow at the moment although i have just ordered all my parts so things should be looking up from now.
For the engine i am using a new 3.5hp Briggs and Stratton engine. i have decided to use a jackshaft as they are cheaper however a future upgrade to a torque-a-verter may be in order.
currently i have tested the tubing bender to produce great results.
this project log will be updated as my my project advances (hopefully smoothly).
Update 27/5/2008: engine arrived B & S 3.5hp. (pictures below)
update 7/6/08: carcass of mini bike. all the parts off this will go on my bike. (worked out the cheapest)
update 23/6/08: started bending at school. pictures below of a jig i made, the machine and the final products.
2/7/08: finished bending. plus a pic of the bender. (not exactly the greatest device but does the job.)
9/7/08: forks almost complete. ugly welds but they sure are strong
