Without knowing too many details of your project, I have found this to be true especially when building karts:

"When there's a will there's a way"!

Let your will become your way . . . . and good luck with your project!

watch your weight and balance on that. Besides getting buoyancy, maintaining tilt would be your next issue.

A long time ago, i found a link for a kart that was air powered!
It had a regular 5hp honda engine but a fan on it!
Can't remember the link

I think they use them on hot air baloons...
To 'inflate' the baloons before mouting them so the basket...
but not oto sure.

But but.. what im saying is that if you are seriously going to do this, a 'hovercraft' like contraption but with wheels may just work

I was thinking of doing this once when I was in like 7th grade..

Try it, I'd like to know how it turns out.

look up a company called ARGO as well as 6x6 plans, plans have been available for free/cheap for years to make "not Argo's" I've contemplated making one lately since zero turn mower trannys have become quite affordable. Argo's and 6x6's are basically a 6 wheeled ZTR with no deck mounted on a steel frame and plywood boat around it, they are awesome off road an aside from needing a bilge pumps to pump out the leaks at the bearings, they are as amphibious as they get aside from hovercraft, and IMO are better for most treks that are primarily land based, where as Hovercraft are really land capable boats, and the airbags get worn very quickly on land.

ARGO/6x6 are basically a tank without tracks, all the traction is also awesome for plowing snow and other pulling/hauling/towing jobs you might have. very cool toys

You just making a boat with wheels poking out the back and a go cart front end bolted to the front, not hard at all. i can see it all in my head. Your gonna need steel and a welder along with foam and plywood.
