So I've been searching for top speed on my built predator 212 mini bike. Current gearing is 17X75 and fastest I can get is 59mph that's about 6300rpms. My buddy gets on the bike and goes 66mph with no changes just rider. I weight 230lb and he weights 130lbs. Could the 100lbs really make that big of a difference?

Yes. 100 pounds is a huge difference. Add an extra 100 pounds next time you ride and you will understand.

Nice bike. It's plated, has brake lights, turn signals and a headlight. I looked for a mirror but didn't see one. Isn't that required?

What's the deal with the integrated gas tank--is that factory or something you devised? Very nice.

In Florida they don't care about mirrors or turn signals. I made the gas tank because the stock tank couldn't keep up.

Having mirrors is nice though, esp in Florida.
It's nice to know ahead of time when you're about to be rear-ended by a drunk bluehair!

He's got a giant horn though. That counts for something, right? :arf:

That tank is amazing. Do you think you could duplicate it?

I would look into more speed rated tires and wheel bearings. The "low speed" tires you have are probably rated for 25mph. Ive had a minibike rear tire blow at 45mph and it was not fun. And it was 4 ply, with plenty of tread, 2 weeks old.
