okay guys, so today ive been continuing my work on the mini bike, still working on getting it tuned correctly for good speed and right where its supposed to be, so i decided that since ill have time to play with it, and have some fun, i took my mini bike up to my little brothers school down the street, now as i was coming back, its demanded i cross at the walks, okay, blahh, so i waited for a bus full of kids to move out of the way so i could cross, they got out of the way, so i rode up the sidewalk a little, stopping for just a second waiting on cars, just as a accelerated and put my foot on the peg, my jeans were sucked in by the clutch, cutting my ankle down to bone, which i didnt even notice yet, so after the engine stopped from me getting caught, i found out the pull start is now being a bit of a ***** and dragging from moving so much, i need a new one, oh well, so i got it home pretty okay, and went inside, my sock was torn up and my leg was bleeding bad, so i got the bleeding to cease and found it down to the bone, my mom forced me to go to the hospital for stitches, i absolutely hate needles, so stitches was a big deal for me being my first time, so i got to the hospital and was wheeled down, they gave me 2 800 mg pain killers so id relax, an hour later they put cream around it to drop the swelling so they could work, okay now ive been there for 2 hours, the lady finally comes in and shoots me 6 times with pain killer to "numb" the area, out of all 6, only the top numbed, i didnt feel the top 2, but the rest hurt, i ended up with about 8 stitches, ouchh, so i was very upset as i left, now that ive left the hospital, i was given gauze and wrapped. it hurts if you step on it wrong, and im not aloud to ride my mini bike till the front tire gets back to where it needs to be. the mixture and idle are set just right, and i get a chain guard, which is going to be a challenge, because this briggs seems to only have 1 hole, so id have to use the crank case bolts, im looking for one to cover to whole clutch face, anyone got any ideas for that?

Very difficult to read.

Okay guys,

So today ive been continuing my work on the mini bike, still working on getting it tuned correctly for good speed and right where its supposed to be.

I decided that since ill have time to play with it, and have some fun, i took my mini bike up to my little brothers school down the street, and as i was coming back, I crossed at the walks, as my parents have requested that I do so.

I waited for a bus full of kids to move out of the way so I could cross, and after they got out of the way, I rode up the sidewalk a little, stopping for just a second waiting on cars.

Just as I accelerated and put my foot on the peg, my jeans were sucked in by the clutch, cutting my ankle down to bone.
After the engine stopped from my pants getting caught in the chain, I found out the pull start is now being a bit of a ***** and dragging, I think I need a new one.

I got it home okay, and went inside. My sock was torn up and my leg was bleeding bad, so I got the bleeding to cease and found it cut down to the bone.

My mom forced me to go to the hospital for stitches, I absolutely hate needles, so stitches was a big deal for me.

So I got to the hospital and as I was being wheeled down, they gave me 2 800 mg pain killers so id relax. An hour later they put cream around it to drop the swelling so they could work. The lady finally comes in and shoots me 6 times with pain killer to "numb" the area, out of all 6, only the top numbed. I didnt feel the top 2, but the rest hurt. I ended up with about 8 stitches!

I was very upset as i left, it hurts very badly if you step on it wrong.

I'm not allowed to ride my mini bike till the front tire gets fixed, the mixture and idle are set just right, and i get a chain guard.

I expect this to be very challenging, because this Briggs seems to only have 1 hole, so id have to use the crank case bolts. I'm looking for one to cover to whole clutch face, anyone got any ideas for that?

Wow, sorry you got hurt. Can you post a picture of the engine? We can give suggestions on how to mount the chain guard.

When I was over at Blazkowiez's shop gokarts of texas, I saw they did something cool that I never thought of for chain/belt guards, was to use small boat trailer finders for guards.
I thought that was a neat, cheap, easy way of doing it.

you can just bolt a guard to the engine plate rather than the engine itself. a piece of sheet metal bent in the right places will work fine
