Alternative go kart?

Here's an idea. Someone should go for it.

Build a go-kart.

not too hard, eh?

Here's the catch: Use a shopping cart as the frame. Know how people like to run and then jump and ride the shopping carts? Yeah, like that, except there's a seat popping out tyhe back. So you have the same view as if you were pushing it, but you're actually sitting down.

With a vertical shaft engine and a differential, it could be quite cool.

Someone take the challenge!

i was considering making a shopping kart style go kart but i found that alot of people already made them and they were unstable and tended to be hard to control but your idea dosent sound too bad if you put the axle behind the driver because if you didnt the kart would probably flip over backwards because of all the weight on the rear axle and as for the differential i think that would be a good idea on any kart not just a shopping kart stye one but not a bad plan if you ironed out the bugs

I have made a shopping trolley go kart:

It is very very stable, although I did use a proper racing frame on it... If you cut off the long legs from the shopping trolley, and mount them to any basic go kart frame, your project is complete, it looks bloddy cool too!
