I'm working on a shifter Kart with a Suzuki dr100 engine, i need an air filter, and at first i was just going to get a K&N at Autozone. Later when i was looking for the right one online i came across a forum where everyone was saying that K&N are horrible for off road uses and get clogged, don't filter well, and end up killing your engine. Is there truth to that? if so can anyone suggest a filter that would be great, the engine is from a dr100 it tops at 8000 RPM's and its a 4 stroke.
I'm also not looking to spend a whole lot, when i looked on ebay i found some generic pocket bike filters for $8, how bad are those?
Also about how much hp will this engine put out, its stock but has been rebored once, I know it has the power i need, while it was in the bike it had tons of torque, im just curious.
