I just bought a 11hp clone and wanted to know where I can get a better flowing airfilter for it? I looked around on Ebay but I'm not real sure which one I need.

My shifter kart is a little under powered, it will bog down in 3rd if im not careful, i have the stock airbox and i made my own high flow header. I was riding yesterday and it was starting to bog down, and i hit a bump and the airfilter fell off and it instantly revved up and i started cruising. So a high flow filter will help.

Your jetting is out of whack, fix that before the piston leaves through the exhaust port.

how is it out of wack? it runs normal just underpowered when filter is on, and runs faster when filter is off. Also its a 4 stroke, so no lean/rich mixture to worry about.

Check plug color under both scenarios.
I somewhat agree with McCormic. Should not be any change.
A 4 stroke will last longer than a 2 stroke and suffers differently.

Plug color is charcoal black, i havent messed with the jets, and the guy who sold me the bike it came out of had rebuilt the engine, and seemed to know what he was doing.

There's the problem!!! Black means rich.
Should be no more than a chocolate brown. Never black or white.
Probably wrong (after market) filter or clogged.
seemed to know what he was doing.
I doubt it. This is something too obvious to miss.

Alright, then what should i do? i've never messed with the jets, could it also be that i made my own exhaust? Glad you caught this before i messed up my engine. Also the cylinder walls are scored (he rebuilt it, but didnt replace the crank bearings and they went, and score the cylinder a little) so anyways it has lower than normal compression. We're kind of highjacking this thread, so maybe you could pm or something?
