Advice on rebuild

Manco-Fox Vortex 616

After pulling the Driver unit I see I need to replace the Springs, maybe weight assembly also. A few inserts and driven spring (green) could be replaced also on the Driven pulley. Plus the cover is missing.

I'm thinking I might be better off buying a complete kits with cover?
garter springs, Green D. Spring, inserts, and cover (if I can find one) guess around 50 bucks. If, I need weight assembly ballpark of 70.

So, I was looking at getting this one (if) it works. I think kart has a 41/420 chain. Does the clutch come pre-loaded with spring, and I would have to buy a green and install it?

I am dumping the Subaru and dropping a Predator in it's place.
Hemi sitting in box. But, before installing add a few upgrades.

I'd keep and collate all relevant posts into one thread. Keeps us from getting confused and makes the mods' jobs easier.

The jackshaft is in bad shape and needs replaced. One end is missing almost half the threads and I had a hard time getting the nut off the end due to someone hitting it with a hammer. (PB Blast, WD40, and candle wax) finally got it off.

So, I was wondering if there is any advantage to the Manco style setup. The Tube welded to back of engine plate over the mini jackshaft on engine plate?
I would need to cut the factory shaft housing off.
Is there any pro's and con's to either?
