Hello all,

My name is Adam and I’ve been a silent member since I was a teen. I enjoy referring back to this site and seeing what’s going on. I recently bought this go kart for 40 bucks off of Fb marketplace. This cart is for me to just have fun on as a 32 year old adult kid. I just want to rip through my neighborhood and eventually some pvc on the tires to drift.

I have since cut , grinder, and welded on it. Lengthened the frame as I am 5ft 8. I have a fat dad body. Regardless I’m going to have fun. Here is my progress so far. If you guys have suggestions or see something wrong, let me know.

The plans for the kart is
1. Live axle w disc brakes
2. 212 predator I used on my drift trike 6 years ago
3. Golf cart wheels bc it’s cheap
4. Black paint.

Cheap and fun is the goal.

Enjoy,

support for the steering wheel is done. And the wheels on it are just to help move it around the shop. The tires are definitely not meant for this! lol

Then I got carried away and cut the frame again. I did because the engine plate is welded in so many places I wouldn’t be able to get it off . I am changing to a live axle as well. Just seemed right in the moment . Who knows.

Good! We have had people try to use those so I just had to make sure. Steering support looks very nice. It's very elegant. That's rare on a go kart lol!

Thank you so much. I love the fabricating process even tho my time is limited. What are the options for seats for go karts? Cheap of course.
I was thinking of just a lawn mower seat with a brake drift style lever for my brake for fun.

Lengthen the rear a tad. And cut the seat bars. This will allow me to have plenty room to do the live axle and even in the future swap to a 420cc.

rear live axles.
I found a kit on eBay for like $100. Included everything. Including brake. Anyone have experience with those eBay kits?
