scuff it up and use super glue, thats what ive seen done and it works, it also works on band breaks if the shoe comes out

Just a friendly reminder, only one of the pads gets glued in, the one on the right.
It does not take much to hold it in, the weatherstrip adhesive should do, or a small amount of epoxy.
