So I’ve finally got the engine and all the parts I ordered and going to start assembling. But as an afterthought I wasn’t sure if I should do valve springs and rockers? Here is a list of things I’m doing!

Billet intake adapter to Mikuni carb. And air filter
Header
And removing the governor completely!
And the oil sensor! Already have torque converter setup on old engine and
I’m replacing the torque converter as old one is sieced to blown engine!

The kart has jack shaft already so should be fine on delivering torque to ground!

Should I do the springs and rockers?

Ok thanks! I been eyeballing a billet rod and partially holding off on putting everything together debating on doing a full send build with the billet rod and flywheel as well as rockers, springs and retainers! I have some gun money stashed away from wifey so just trying to decide between new gun or really going all in on the engine!

Lol I do like my guns!

While I do like my guns ! I’m thinking about selling this a kart once I get it finished! So I’m on the fence about how much to put into it! I want to maximize my profit but don’t want to go so far t hat I can’t let it go! Cause I already have quite a few toys that started as flips ave then I build them how I want or would need them to be abs keep them!

Im just getting back into karts after 40 years...

Think of it this way, would you buy a kart that seller sayed had $350 worth of awesome mods you cant see?

Exactly!! If you want to sell for a profit, don't do engine mods. People find it hard to pay for stuff they cannot see. Just get it all nice and pretty and running. Thats all people want

Well it’s all pretty and running and now exactly what I was afraid of happened!
As soon as I took it for a good shakedown rip im attached lol!
this thing has torque lifts the front wheels with just a blip of throttle and climbs hills in my field with ease!

Now do I do the rod, Flywheel and springs? I still haven’t got the mikuni clone back on ( had issues starting and idled to fast ) so I threw the stock carb back on! So I think I’ll get it on and dialed in and then decide. 7E79E740-202D-45C7-8E25-124D8C9FD616.jpeg7E79E740-202D-45C7-8E25-124D8C9FD616.jpegA12C5CFA-7E2D-4898-A76A-28BE28E03EA8.jpeg7E79E740-202D-45C7-8E25-124D8C9FD616.jpeg7E79E740-202D-45C7-8E25-124D8C9FD616.jpegC6D1DFB9-37CE-4F6C-8181-D989FA7CECD2.jpeg577B2EF2-2D1A-4F93-861A-4959DD50C66A.jpeg577B2EF2-2D1A-4F93-861A-4959DD50C66A.jpeg10196FE6-B5C2-46CE-A60A-B7019DD3FC06.jpeg3F3F9A00-2E77-4A20-87D5-1FEEFF517A77.jpeg
