Howdy guys, so in my home state of Michigan I can legally register the electric scooter I've modded with a 50cc two stroke provided that I include the right lighting, I've attached a link to the pdf that contains the requirements:
http://www.michigan.gov/documents/sos/SOS-430_Moped_Certification_290967_7.pdf
Soooo, I was thinking about doing a little diy electrical work to mod up the necessary lights, I did something similar when I attached an old car headlight to my pocket bike and ran it with a 12v battery I ripped out of the scooter, but I plan on doing this job more profesionally lol.
Alright so to the meat of the question, how feasible would it be to use a 12v scooter battery and plug it in every night to a battery tender? would the battery last long enough to use the lights all day?
So I need a headlight that can illuminate objects at 100ft, do you think one of the 2" halogen headlights
here would be sufficient? Or where could I source a more powerful one?
The tail light and breaklight can be one, so I could use brake levers with an electric switch like
this (I've got em already), but how would I make the tail light dimmer normally but go full brightness when one of the switches are activated?
I think the horn, mirror and other things are self explanatory, but mostly I'm worried about whether the battery idea is feasible
Thanks guys
