First time. Starting a project thread for pictures as I’m getting closer to completion (of stage 1).

Update: lighting and wiring have been completing. Lots of soldering even though people tend to say solder doesn’t hold up in automotive applications. Fiberglass was primed and painted. I now have a tensioner so the chain doesn’t skip/clunk anymore. Might finish assembly this weekend and scoot around town.

Predator 420 (governed) with an aftermarket air intake and bigger carb jet. 40 series torque converter and FNR gearbox.

I've also replaced the stock rear end gears with 6:1 gears.

Came from the Golfin Garage. They sell the carts completely made but I didn’t have $22k laying around so I got the fiberglass from them and figured the rest out myself!

Very stock! For the most part. All I did was change the air intake, add a muffler, bigger carb jet and the flywheel has more magnets because I installed a 26amp charging coil.

Added the final version! Finished assembling yesterday. Definitely more work to do. I have to add seatbelts (I’ve made the brackets I just need to drill some holes) and next summer I’ll work on a roof, weigh-bearing tailgate. It’s not perfect but I love it!

That's the old DIYGK motto; Seat belts if you have a roll cage (to hold you in). No roll cage, no seat belts (so you're thrown clear and/or you're not trapped under the heavy kart).

On a roll cage kart, it makes more sane, logical sense if it's a 5-point seat belt and it is cinched down tight enough to where your blood circulation is in peril
