Big chunk of metal in the cylinder will slightly boost your compression. Has nothing to do with the spark itself.

Would it be a noticeable difference? Is it worth a 8 dollar spark plug?

No, no, and well, it's up to YOU if you think an $8 plug is worth it. Are you building a high power high performance engine?
Let me ask you this,...... IF it were to be true....... Why wouldn't all the plug makers have a version?

Well I'm slowly but surely building the motor up. I have a few new parts to put on when I get back to town but not sure of its hp rating. I already bought the plug just can't really fire the engine tell the new flywheel comes in

The reason those types of plugs aren't generally used is there are plenty of ways to boost compression that don't have the same drawbacks (clearance, flow, hot spots, etc)

So although it may be (marginally) functional, it'll quickly start causing problems if you're building an actual high performance engine.

To be honest, if the guy at the counter gave me that plug, when I specifically ask for the "hottest" plug that size, I'd probably buy it...... And mumble sweet :censored: nothings under my breath as I paid for it.......
I always get the hottest plug available. I prefer ngk.....
Who knows!?? Maybe it WILL help on this type engine. ? I'm just not the guy who is gonna tell you a flat out, "no, don't buy it... "...... I have no way to measure if what they claim is true, so I just take all that jazz with a grain of salt...... A plug is a plug. I prefer the hottest plug, (lowest last digit, iirc), because I believe it helps burn the fuel more efficiently, which in turn, = more power. However minute it may be....

The theory behind these plugs is the spark is "open"; on most spark plugs, the ground electrode covers the centre electrode, shielding the spark; with these plugs, the ground electrode is beside the centre electrode so, the spark is completely exposed to the fuel, theoretically causing a bigger, cleaner burn...

I was reading about this plug on one of the racing sites and between the spark and the bigger plug filling up more room in the combustion chamber is how they are claiming more hp. I bought two of these from Advanced for 6.50 each and installed them. One on a predator and one on a actual honda. I will admit they seemed to crank quicker and have maybe a little more throttle response but that could be me just wanted it to work since I just spent $13 on two plugs,:lolgoku:
