My freinds and i are making plans to build a gokart for use as a mock up tank while paintballing, i was looking for any advice on frame design as we want one person to sit and drive and have another sit behind and higher than the driver so as to shoot out the top of the cart. Would it be possible to convert an engine from a garden tiller? (engine is the only thing i don't have easy access to right now)

sounds like a fun project! You can definitely use a tiller engine. For two people like that offroad, get a torque convertor for super-power.

i also want to put in an indipendent front suspension if anyone has a diagram on how to build a set of a-arms or another way to do it i would appreciate it

the garden tiller engine is vertical shaft so im going to use the tiller itself as the engine mount and replace the tines with the axle im not going to use a clutch, it has an egage/disengage lever for the tines im going to use. will start construction soon hope to have pictures in a week or two.

I was talking with my uncle yesterday and he gave me a 250cc snowmobile engine so once i go pick it up construction will start (have almost all other needed parts)
