So, first off, thanks to those of you who helped in my first couple of threads.
The kart will start reliably and man, that feels good!
So, here's the new one for ya. I have a carbide 7150 with the beloved (lol) GY6.
I got it running and driving, pressure washed it finally and didn't notice my air filter popped off, so I accidently put a bunch of water in the carb. No biggie, I have a back up. Hooked the back up to the buggy. Fired right up - great!

Finally went to rip it around a bit, got it washed up, went around the yard before going WOT. It ran fine at WOT for a few minutes, and then just cut out, slowly died like it starved of gas all of the sudden. After fighting with it for a few minutes, I got it to restart, and Parked her in the garage.

Left it for a few minutes, kept ot in neutral, restarted easily, and then while in neutral I went WOT and it was fine. Tested while in gear and driving, and same thing - after a few seconds at WOT, it dies..

What gives?

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue for sure. Float hight may be out of whack, maybe there's a flow issue in the fuel lines or peckock, maybe fuel tank vent is acting up... Definitely describes a fuel starvation in the high rpm high flow range

Does your kart have a fuel pump? Don't know much about these GY6 karts and don't really care for them because of all the electrical problems. Seems I remember someone else with one of these mentioning something about an electrically controlled valve. So it wouldn't flood when the key was turned off.
Just my 2 cent stab at it.

So these are vacuum powered for fuel. I screwed around with it today and ended up finding a disconnected vacuum line from air filter box.. freaking temperamental little bas****s aren't they.
Ripped it around and it ran fine after that. Only got it up to 23 mph though (phone gps). So now I gotta look at top end rebuild to get a Lil speed back.

In all honesty, the gy6 hasn't been terrible so far. Pretty easy to figure out once you have a multimeter in hand.

The annoying part of it is ALL OF THE VACUUM. I have had 3 C3 corvettes and they are exactly the same - vacuum everything. Such a PITA.
