Chasing little green pieces of paper around is a stupid way to live life.
I know folks with tons of cash, whose psyche would fall apart if they had to sit still for five minutes and try to think of nothing.
They can't do it.

Too much worrying to do, too many calls to take, OMG! A TEXT!!!!

Happy for me is being able to drink a hot cup of coffee in the morning.
Happy is riding 4 miles with my dogs every morning. Each trip is a new adventure for all of us.

Happy for me is knowing I made at least ONE person giggle today.

Happy isn't tomorrow, happy is right now, if you want it to be.
Be grateful for what you have right this minute, it may be your last.

Happy is spending time to make a nice dinner to be slowly enjoyed.

Happy isn't found with little green pieces of paper.
Happy isn't in the bottom of a bottle.

There is no redo, or do over. Try to make every minute the best one in your life.

You know, from a man who spews sarcasm and jokes all day long, this is the most meaningful thing I've ever heard you say. I appreciated it very much.

These are 200 people i've worked with for over 14+ years. told to work hard this year because it's there last.

I'm at least in a higher level position where i will survive after they are gone. But for how long i don't know. Everyone is jumping ship already. probably wont be a company by next year. I've been waiting for severance package...6 months pay.

But like you say is money worth it. to be miserable. Do i choose to be miserable...

Just watched this movie the other day. It's not as good as the first one but this choose life bit is hard to watch without it effecting you

It was more a state of.mind than an ything that could be captured with a camera. I quit my job about 6 weeks ago because I realized that I didn't like what I did anymore and was just doing it for the money (which was good) buy I finally realized that being happy was.more important than being rich. The reality of it sinks in now and then, and I get a good look at what's really important.

I decided I was killing myself for a false sense of security. $hit happens, it's going to happen, and there's nothing you can do about it, so I just bailed. You know what? I'm fine. I have a great reputation and I can't go to town without getting a job offer. I've been doing odd jobs as I dang well please and i'm getting by close to, if not just as well as I was when I was grinding away for 40 hrs a week with the thought that I could be replaced on a whim in the back of my mind. It was stressing me out. I worked 14 hours this week and all my bills are paid with some left over. Granted I probably won't be able to afford to blow up go kart motors for the heck of it anymore, but maybe I can, I mean people are basically standing in line to hire me at as much or more than I was making. My plan is to move back to the area that my family is and try and get a job as a fishing guide. My brother is a fishing guide, and he says he can get me in.
I've realized that just because i'm good at something and it pays good doesn't mean that I have to earn my living doing it. I wanna fish.
