a megabusa 5/8 scale replica gocart

hi to all have been building this gocart (ive called it the MICROBUSA) for 6 months or so now take a look any ideas would be greatfully recived coments welcome if you have a site of your own link exchanges welcome too, you might find a few ideas for yourself thanks for looking, daz.

thats awesome, what you planing on using to form up the body. you gonna do it all in sheet alm or fibergalss? have you figured out a rear end setup? keep us updated, i cant wait to see it moving

hi , its a suffolk super colt lawnmower engine about 1.5 hp dont want anything more powerfull yet as my grandson is only 6 lol as he gets used to it and learns to controll it i may go for somthing a little more power. thanx, daz.

hi thanx its going to be sheet aluminium bit expensive but glass fiber i think will be to heavy for the small engine. the rear end i intend to use a 3 way bevel gearbox made into a live axel unfortunately no diff :-( but hey cant have everything, the hubs, wheel's, wheel arches/mudguards will be from an erde trailer just the right size . daz.

i dont know of you could find one in your area but you could maybe mod a Melix or Melex (not sure of the spelling) golf cart rear.. they look as tho there just a limited slip rear axel with a pumpkin.. ill take a pic of the one i have if ya want.. sounds great tho

Mate, if you can, it would be great if you could post a step by step guide on how you made your tranny. I believe that it's a great concept, and it would be great to get some tips/ideas on how we can do it ourselves.

How are you setting up the clutch and what kind of clutch is it?

hi its the standard thrower clutch from the suffolk engine i was concerned about gear changing but ive had it running this afternoon and was able to select each gear with out any problems crunching as long as throttle is released before changing. just have to wait and see how it works under load lol
