A few questions

Hey all, I am working on a silver fox kart with a worn subaru robin engine on it. I am thinking of going to a new briggs 9hp intek. Will my comet 30 torque converter work with that motor? Also How can I get it to ride better in the pastures? I was thinking hydraulic shocks and get rid of the mechanical ones. What you think? I also need it to climb better. I'm 200lbs so I need power. maybe a motorcycle engine.

look up the horsepower ratings online. I think you might need a comet 40

gearing gearing gearing. count the teeth on your clutch, jackshaft and axle sprocket, you may need to gear lower. (a motorcycle engine couldnt hurt though )

also check the shaft size. i know the comet 30 can handle 9hp easy. but if the shaft it to big it wont fit.

The briggs has a 3/4 shaft so that's ok. How bout the ride quality? Where's the best place to get hydraulic shocks?
