The 120v version is very clean.
Being as f****d up as l am, l have a 330VDC version as well. Use yer imagination....
From a biotechnical standpoint AC will more effectively cause V-fib. Since DCV is effectively half wave voltage it makes sense that it would logically take twice the current to be equally effective.

Hell "Ole Sparky" the thunder chair hit with an initial spike of 2k-2500~ACV

What is the resistance of critters?

Resistance of el raton = 10,000 Ohms ?
Voltage = 120 V

V= IR
120 = 10,000 * Amps

Amps = 120 / 10,000

0.012 Amps
12 milli amps

I’m guessing critters are somewhere between 10k and 100k Ohms. Which would give 12 to 120 milliamps.

If resistance is only 1k ohms, then we’re talking 1.2 amps. I don’t know anything about how critters handle current.

I have not measured the resistance of the little critters, but your knowledge of Ohm's law is right on.
The 120V version stops them cold, the 330VDC version tends to make them explode! Which indicates the resistance might be somewhat lower.

When in doubt, get a pack of wonder pups. He’s a city dog, but he’s got ratting in his blood.

The “derp” expression is just a ruse.

My dog never lets anything get by, he would sleep with one eye open. He adopted me one day, cuz he liked hanging out in the shop i guess.
He was a fearless sumbitch, he thought he could take on a coyote one night and lost.
