91 octane

anybody running 91 octane in their 5 hp briggs please chime in on the mods u had to do to make it work.

91 gas is nothing, with your mods you way lean, go up a couple of jets and youll notice the same thing, 91 octane really isint needed. if you really want such amazing power and such why not just get a torque converter?

torque converters are like $200 bucks , i would rather get a 4 speed pit bike if i wanted to spend alot of $

i know every body keeps telling me the same thing but i know i felt a huge difference in performance when i ran 91 octane. i even had to let go of the throttle because every thing started to get blurry

It's ALL in your head. Chemistry isn't wrong.

ive heard that before and its not true. u guys need to try it before u say its all in my head, theory and real life can be different.

It's not theory, it's tested scientific fact. At most, 91 octane has a 3-4% difference in BTU content, and that would only be from a difference in ethanol content. You can't feel a 3-4% difference.

i felt a huge difference but i do have kinda low compression , i used a compression tester and had less than 50 psi

i would but i already returned it, if i am running lean then how did my plug get fouled when i ran 91?

Do you think you're running lean, or did you perform the appropriate test and determine that you're lean?

A real modification that will take advantage of hi-test fuel would be a large increase in compression.
