I have an old treadmill 90V DC motor that I have put on a Razor electric cart. I have replaced the speed controller with a 50V 40A PWM. Right now I have two sets of 4 12V batteries in series then paralleled the sets together for more run time. I would like to series all 8 batteries together so I can run at 96V and get the full output of this motor. My problem is I can't find a 100V DC controller. Any suggestions would be awesome. I am willing to build one if anyone can direct me.

I just got my setup out for a test run today. The speed and acceleration were not what I expected. Either my controller is causing a problem or the motor isn't powerful enough. I have ordered an awesome controller. 72-300v 250a. Got lucky on eBay. I don't think it's the motor because the treadmill was quite powerful and it was a 1:1 gear ratio. I have another bigger motor I will try if all else fails. I thought torque was relevant to the current draw. I'll have to research that a little more.
