8hp briggs need help finding magneto coil

I have a 8hp Briggs and Stratton engine I got in a deal with a decent frame to put it on but it needs a new magneto coil and carb gaskets I need help finding the right coil I can post pics if needed but its an earlier 80's model from what the guy who previously owned it said. Thanks in advance

Those are used on quite a few Briggs...post a pic...but mainly, what is the bolt hole spacing?

Ummm...do you want help or not?

I mean really...it's this simple : Google up small engines or lawnmower shops and find the closest one....give them a call...go get the coil...or post up the requested information and we'll see if we can't get you one cheaper.

I do want help that's why I've came to you all I'd prefer to find one cheaper online that's why I needed help with the part number I've been trying to find my tape measure but I can't that's why I haven't put up a measurement

And bolt spacing doesn't exactly mean anything I've got a coil that I thought would fit it but the bolt holes are too high up on the armature the spacing is perfect just to big of a coil I guess

Found it lol looks just a lil under 3 inches

Try that again: put the one inch line on the left hand side of the left hole and measure to the left hand edge of the right hole....(it's the same thing as center to center...but much more accurate than eyeballing centers.)
