i pulled the rubber seal out of the inside of the cap and cleaned it out. saw where the vent hole was. it was packed full of crap. got it cleaned out and now i have fuel flow.. thanks again for helping me finger this one out...

any idea why i'm getting gas in the air filter tube?

i'm pretty sure it's not sticking.. i just cleaned and applied a carb kit to it (including new float). It was doing it before i cleaned it out also... could i have something misadjusted? or giving it too much gas trying to start it or have the choke in the wrong position for starting?

this engine is running great, now that i got the gas cap adjusted, this is the only bug i have to work out.

run it for maybe 10 minutes, might be from not being run and gas being left in the engine for a while, and starting should take no throttle, just choke, try running it, 10 minutes maybe and check again

will do thanks.... i have been starting it and shutting it down. i don't have it mounted right now, so i'll have to get it mounted before i let it run that long. i can't get it to start with choke on...

thanks again.....

probablly just hasnt had a nice long happpy run, and its been bobbing around, so everything should be good, you could always mount it to a block of wood
