80's Manco restoration!!!

First I found it at a garage sale. Been sitting in a garage for 15 plus years. A guy bought it and put a honda clone on it, and it was too fast for his daughters. I had it and the rims powder coated. I had to hang it up for several months though, because work has kept me busy. Here is me starting the project by unwrapping it....oh yea...

2nd-Now I added some nice floor pan covers. I do not want to ding up the nice paint job with my tools. I plan to go two tone with red and black.

3rd- Making felt washers for everything so I do not scuff up the paint job. Also I am priming and painting all of the nuts and bolts to #1 prevent rust, which is a major problem here on the coast, and #2 make it stand out.

4th- Got alot of the small work done. Front end installed, and pedals attached along with putting soem guarding around the new paint job.

I NEED HELP with this dip stick. It is in the way to much, and going to be to much trouble to work with. Can i get a shoter alternative dip stick, and if so where can I get one.

It is a Manco 415. The quality of one of those manual is great, and will add a nice touch to have all of the paper work. You doing a full restore?

Well, it runs, but it will not be stock if thats what you mean. I and currently sanding and priming as I go, and I have a lead on a better exhaust and a K&N air filter. It needs alot of work, and hope to have it done in a month or so..
