Old age and enough broken bones kinda takes some of that adventure out of ya.
I have that too I just complain more and refuse that the true reality applies to me. And the Mornings get rougher.. If my house caught on fire id be in bad shape.. It takes me 20 mins to get everything moving.

Oh I'm not that old... yet. Nah it's more material cost and the cost of the fancy equipment to do a lot of what I know I am capable and would want to do being extremely prohibitive.

I live in Nowhere VA down in the SW point of the state, so even having stuff done for me is cost prohibitive between mileage and the hack of a proper hauler vehicle for larger things like frames and what not.

One thing I'd love to do is a MiniChopper with a not quite so mini engine on it.

Wow what a day . I finally bought a plazma cutter. Just a cheap yes welder 55sd. I must say after I took ot apart and fixed the airleaks 'the thing works great. 239. With 60 bucks off with coupon if I get 20 good uses I'll be happy ish. The drive pulley on transaxle refused to come off. About 7 inched of rusted on shaft I soaked it for a few days with pb blast we still had to cut it off. The good news is it's just a stout 7/8shaft so I can buy a sproket and stay chain drive with 50 size chain. So moving right along. Steady at a snails pace.

We did one. With a California race engine chopper with swing arm and has rea suspension back tire is 12 inch wide lots of $$$$ I did not have 100percent control of the build mainly looks but we ran out of desire to spend more money Chopper it was a basket case withbforks and rims when we found her.
i had a lot more fun building the Military Tote gote Tote Gote it was a bent frame with missing parts the whole build was less than 300 poorboy the whole way but it would pull a 72 buick station wagon sideways down the rd. This is a little movie we made about it there are build videos on the channel but this talks all specs.
Im looking for a cushman eagle to build now...but they are too $$$ or too far gone.

Big difference in weight between the two.
How are you planning on keeping the big twin cool?
Water cooled. Vulcan by kawasaki..lol plan is to run hose to the front of the Cart it also has electricfan i plan on installinga second fan in the enginebox to keep air flowing well. Unfortunately I had to take off a day and start the tile work in my last room of my remodel here at the house. But a few parts came in the last 2 jack shaft gears should be in tomorrow

20231107_192351.jpg20231107_192310.jpgSome new hole pokers came in im still not ready to pay 65 bucks for a name brand step bit but most of the 20dollar sets last surprisingly well. 20231107_192258.jpg20231107_192236.jpg
Jack plate box built,check.20231107_192440.jpg
Probably over engineered since I'm clueless how much torque will affect this area. 20231107_192455.jpgI'll bolt it all to the kart with grade 8 threaded thumb tacks 🤪20231107_193245.jpgStill need to remove this old tub and build a shower and hang glass so this bathroom is definitely clouding my ability to focus on the important things in life...finishing the kart build.
