How can you tell it needs a reverse wound spring? I know very little about these tc’s. When I bought it it said that it came with a outboard spring.
Yes that spring is for an outboard set up. The spring towards the outside of the buggy.
You have it orientated inboard.
Flipping it around cost nothing but time and re setting your belt alignment.

A spring will keep that set up. It just winds the other way so the ramps will be proper to each other.

I think I have it figured out yall, I appreciate all the help yall are awesome. I’ll give you an update when my parts come in. I have weights and springs for my drive so it engages at 2300 rpms. And then obviously the driven spring
