If bighead (a member here) doesn't chime in, PM him.
He's our ody guru.

I would say that's an ok deal. I love the ody's, they look so well made.

Can you post the info on the Ody? For that price it should run very good.

If it runs I see more like $500 to $600 at best. It's not original paint. If it was not all painted like that. Had original paint and FENDERS and ran good it would be a $700 to $1000 Ody. From what I can see and if it runs I would over a $500 cash no more.

Seat cover $40
Fenders $250
Wheel cover $40
Air cleaner parts $35
Head light $50

It's has parts on it from the early models but I cannot confirm what years the frame is. It could be a hack job so go slow. The foot tub is from early model. See the bolt holes? The tabs should under the plastic. The bumper has the square part welded in.

This is not a $700 Ody IMO. In my area you can get nice original running Ody for $800 to $1000. Not hacked togather but all original in original paint.

If I had a pic of under the front fenders I could tell you more about what year it really is. At this point it could be a yellow one with red parts. Or a red one with yellow parts added. Regardless it is a mixed job for sure. It's not just yellow fenders bolted to a red ody. I see other yellow parts like foot tub and skid plate.

Talk the guy down and show him this thread. And get more pics pics pics.

Yah if it runs $500 is close. I would have to see what they did though. Regardless you can do a pretty good full restore for $400. not counting fenders. If it runs in the whole key.

$500 ody plus $400 in parts and you have full restore just like this one but with no electric start. I spent $400 to restore this one with lots new. You have good tires so you will save some there. If it runs is the key. You can make it as nice as you want after that.

Last two show what I started with. $400 later was like new. Well very nice anyway.

The good thing about Odys is the main drive parts are rock solid and just need cleaned and paint. The smaller parts like cable brakes and bearing and seals always need replaced for the most part. But those parts are dirt cheap and plenty to ebay for good deals.

So u guys think 500 is better?

Looks like the have not rode it since they painted it red. Notice the disk brake painted red? If rode that paint would be gone.

If you cannot ride this on the trailor I would pass for $500. Like I said if it runs that the whole key. You can do anything you want from there.

It has a 3 lug nut hole rear axle which confirms parts from an early model. Demand more pics and post them here? Also have him tip the ody on it's side a post a pic under the car. Rust? And a pic under the yellow fender showing the shock and j-arm area.

If you check this out put a bucket under the front end. Then check the front for slop. Some can be beat to hell and need work. Most are still solid. Do the same for the back. Check the bearing in the carrier and trans for slop. This bearing are only $20 for the axle so not a big deal. The front has more to it. Something tells me this was tossed togather for I see early and late model years parts on it.

Most of all find out if it is points or CDI. That will tell me a lot more about whats going on? Also that hose on the air cleaner is to small for it to run right. The OEM hose is twice that size maybe more.
